ABOUT THE ARTIST
With a strong interest in art that was first nutured  while attending Victor D'Amico's classes at The Museum of Modern Art children's program. The school I attended also encouraged  self-expression and gave me the tools to further express myself through art. Earning a college degree in Early Childhood Education from Tufts University and taking classes at The Boston Museum School of Fine Arts, I went on to get a Masters Degree in Art Education from NYU. I was about to fulfill my goal by becoming an Art Teacher of young children. I had the unique opportunity to start an art program at a NYC public elementary school, PS #151,  where I remained for 7 1/2 years. During this time, I threw myself into creating an art space that provided a creative environment for self-expression, introducing children to many mediums and first introductions to artists of note (Picasso, Matisse, Calder, etc.). While teaching, I earned an Interior Design degree from NYU which I used after leaving NYC for Connecticut. Along with this career switch, I continued to paint and make collages, even getting commissions from design clients. For the past 14 years, my time is split between New York CIty and W. Palm Beach. As you will see, the majority of my site specific collages are from these two locations.
I am now devoting my time to site specific found object collages - Art Underfoot.
